The side cable cross over is a great core exercise that really targets the obliques. This is exercise can be done by any fitness level and would be a great addition to any fitness routine.

Instructions:

Step 1: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 1 Stand in front of the cable machine with your feet shoulder width apart. Place one hand over the other inside of the handle, square your shoulders off and put a soft bend in your knees.
Step 2: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 2 Make sure to engage your core as you pull the cable down to the side of your hip. Fully contract your obliques and abdominal muscles at the end of bottom of the action.
Step 3: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 3 Raise the cable back up to the starting position keeping control throughout the entire range of motion using the muscles of the core.
